Well, it’s official: the 40 BANDS 80 MINUTES! DVD is now available. Yeah!!

Please support us and purchase one. This was a massive team effort!

Last night’s DVD release party was a blast. Die Rocker Die was phenomenal and really got everyone loosened up. Naomi, Alexis and the Holidays were also terrific—we will be seeing and hearing more from them on upcoming Mondays.

Creekbird’s final exam was a doozy. So many attempted the test, but only our friend Josh Taylor prevailed. Josh won a $60 scholarship to the higher learning establishment of his choice (let’s hope he didn’t blow it all at 7/11). Good job, Josh! I will post more test results soon. Some of your completed exams were interesting, to say the least.

Creekbird did a great job playing every Monday this past month, and for that he should be commended. Hail hail King Creekbird!

The party got so wild and I got so busy talking to all the band members who stopped by to pick up DVDs that I didn’t take many photos. D’oh!

This is cutting-edge rock ‘n noise concert with a big helping of steamy GAY action heaped on top. You don’t have to be gay to attend (c’mon, everyone’s a LITTLE gay). Last year I think some people were scared off.

The line-up is Gay Beast & Faggot (both from MPLS, MN), Rib Bib, The Munchers, and Madd Happy (feat. Mike Ill). No other underground all-ages space in L.A. is doing anything like this. PLEASE SUPPORT US!!

DJ Margot and DJ Z Kyle are providing the music. It’s gonna be HOT.

Saturday night was a great night at Il Corral. I wasn’t hosting the show, so I went as a fan and grooved all night to the outstanding music!

The occasion: the release of Macro-Eden Records’ debut LP compilation! This amazing record—masterminded by Il Corral mainstay Adam Reese—looks absolutely AMAZING and features 45-second shots of noise musik from Temple of Bon Matin, AMK, Books On Tape, I Heart Lung, No Age, BARR, Debaser, Whitman, Bavab Bavab, Hop-Frog’s Drum Jester Devotional and many more. All the music fits on one side of a gorgeous grey-marble slab ‘o vinyl, too. Perfect!

Not too many people do vinyl right, so Adam’s accomplishment here is significant. And the music he chose is flawless.

The LP release party was so much fun! I Heart Lung, Whitman, Hop-Frog, & Debaser were totally ruling and inspirational. Later, DJ Z Kyle and Andrew and the Girlz all showed up for a crazy one-song dance party. I wish that could’ve gone on forever, but it was time for bed.

Richmond and I had a great Thanksgiving. We took the train to Hollywood and saw Stephen Frears’ “The Queen.” Now, I ’spose that was a totally gay thing to do (it was!), but whether you think British royalty is repulsive or not, you need to see this amazing film. Stephen Frears=a Sean Carnage favorite. I’m still thinking about this movie 5 days later.

After the movie, Richmond and I had a lovely meal of cornish hens roasted with garlic and vegetables, homemade Summit House creamed corn (mmm!), brussel sprouts with bacon, homemade cornbread and sausage stuffing, cranberry relish, garlic mashers and yummy blackberry cobler.

After eating all that, I fell into a deep coma. Satisfaction :)
