This was the awesomest party thanks to Health, The Mae Shi, Abe Vigoda, Upsilon Acrux, Kyle Mabson, Bizzart, Richmond Tan, Pehrspace, and every single person who came out for the show.

The Mae Shi are kind of a big band for a Monday night. They also played the Abe Vigoda tour benefit last month. They’ve done a lot to keep this music going and that’s really cool & appreciated.

Health did a great job curating these past three Mondays, and they deserve particular credit. They put all the bands together (well, I helped last week). Health are going to Europe soon and that’s pretty amazing for a band from our little scene.

The people making music in L.A. are making some of the best music ever.

They’re going on tour with John Thill

To say this was the biggest Sean Carnage Monday Night EVER is an understatement. This mega-huge crazy party was the concert of the year!!!

It was also a major triumph for the great music of Health, Dan Deacon, Juiceboxxx, Video Hippos, Knight Rider, and, of course, DJ Kyle (who kicked ass two nights in a row). Our kind hosts, Pehrspace, deserve the highest commendations, too.

A quick note to Monday Night friends and regular show-goers: you rock! Amanda, Bret, Jon, and Andrew especially helped so much with bracelets and helping to welcome to the overflow crowd. Thanks, guys! And of course it was great to see Alf, Laura, Natalie, Ajax, Kat, Bizzart, Juan, Kate, Michael, Will K., Brian, Bill, Bret, Mario, Jim, Xenia… and if I forgot anyone, you know who you are and I’m telling you that you rule!!!

I took off last week for Bellingham, Washington to visit my mother, have a little vacation, and paint my mom’s house. Richmond came along, and we both had a great time!

My apologies to anyone who contacted me this past week. I’m a little behind on my concert booking, but hopefully I will get caught up by the end of the week—so hang in there.
