Are you team Daniel or team Frank?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted a “The Smell“ T-Shirt. I just got mine, now you can too! Represent The Smell with their new Daniel and Frank T-shirts by Altamont clothing. You know Daniel, The Smell’s security guard who asks you for change? Both Daniel and Frank have been apart of The Smell family for many years by being the coolest bums around (they have definitely become the most recognizable faces in the downtown alley of The Smell)! So why not wear their faces on these comfortable t-shirts?

Available NOW at The Smell for only $15.00…can I get a Hell YEAH?

“Casual Jazz Thursday”—a personal invite from Kyle Mabson

[Editor's note: I couldn't do what I do without Kyle H. Mabson. It will soon be Monday Night's 5th Anniversary, and Kyle's been there nearly every step of the way. So why shouldn't I allow him to contribute to this site? Prepare yourself for a lot of Juggalo facepaint, tasteful/tasteless Photoshop 1.0 graphics, and capital letters. Lots of them. -SC]

SMALL BREED’S FINAL SHOW ROCKS THE SMELL!!!

119.jpg
This was the last Small Breed show at the Smell, opening up for Abe Vigoda. It was Sunday night. I was sick with some nasty sinus thingy, and I was bummed I couldn’t stay for the show. But I talked to Michael and Juan from Abe Vigoda, so that was nice.

Small Breed was an all-star nu metal band with Jenna from Mika Miko, Robert from Seattle, and Kyle from Mabson. Obviously, Mabson’s a musician, because when he writes music and puts a band together, it smokes. He and Robert (on drums) totally rocked.

Jenna’s Small Breed vocals were really cool—kinda this low, bluesy, soulful wail. Mabson calls it “Janis Joplin.” It sounded fucking rad with chugga-chugga underneath.

Small Breed played (nearly all?) their songs, a huge crowd amassed but didn’t mosh to this highly mosh-worthy music, then… they were done.

And so was I… Thanks for the great show, dudes.
